Jorginho and Tierney Among 20 Players Leaving Arsenal
Arsenal have confirmed that Jorginho and Kieran Tierney will depart the club when their contracts expire on 30 June, as detailed in the club’s official retained list.
Italy international Jorginho, who arrived from Chelsea in January 2023 for £12m, is expected to join Brazilian side Flamengo. The experienced midfielder made 79 appearances for the Gunners, bringing leadership and tactical intelligence during his 18-month stay.
Kieran Tierney, signed from Celtic for a reported £25m in 2019, featured 170 times for Arsenal. The Scottish left-back spent the 2023–24 season on loan at Real Sociedad and is now expected to return to his boyhood club Celtic.
The list also includes Raheem Sterling, who will return to Chelsea following an underwhelming loan spell in which he scored just once in 28 appearances.
Thomas Partey’s contract is also set to expire, but discussions are ongoing between the club and the Ghanaian midfielder regarding a possible renewal.
On the women’s side, England international Chloe Kelly, a Champions League winner with Manchester City, is currently in contract talks with Arsenal after joining Renee Slegers’ squad on loan in January.
The released list includes players from the men’s first team, under-21 and under-18 squads, as well as members of the women’s team.
This summer marks a significant transition for Arsenal as they reshape their squad ahead of the 2025–26 campaign.
