Adebayo Scores 83 Points as Heat Rout Wizards
Bam Adebayo delivered one of the greatest scoring performances in NBA history, pouring in 83 points as the Miami Heat defeated the Washington Wizards 150-129.

A Night for the Record Books
Adebayo surpassed the iconic 81-point game recorded by Kobe Bryant in 2006.
Reflecting on the moment, the Heat star admitted he felt emotional when he realised what he had achieved.
“It’s Wilt, me, then Kobe, which sounds crazy.”
The 28-year-old dominated offensively throughout the game, delivering a historic individual performance.
Free-Throw Records Fall
Adebayo’s scoring night was powered by an incredible performance at the free-throw line.
He made 36 of 43 free throws, setting two NBA records for:
- Most free throws made in a game
- Most free throws attempted in a game
His relentless attacking style repeatedly forced Washington into fouls as Miami pulled away in the second half.
Emotional Moment for Adebayo
After the game, Adebayo paid tribute to those who supported him throughout his career.
“They’ve seen me at the lowest… trying to figure out how to pick myself up.”
The Heat center described the moment as one he wished he could relive.
“It was a special moment.”
