Thunder Rally to Beat Pacers, Level NBA Finals Series

Thunder Rally in Fourth to Beat Pacers, Tie NBA Finals 2-2

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put on a clutch performance with 35 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a dramatic 111-104 comeback win over the Indiana Pacers in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, tying the best-of-seven series at 2-2.

Trailing by seven points at the start of the fourth quarter, the Thunder closed with a 31-17 run, including a decisive 12-1 surge in the final three minutes at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

“I knew what it would have looked like if we lost tonight,” said Gilgeous-Alexander. “I didn’t want to go down not swinging.”

MVP Delivers in the Clutch

Gilgeous-Alexander, the 2025 NBA MVP, was rested late in the third rather than early in the fourth — a strategic adjustment by head coach Mark Daigneault that paid off.

Jalen Williams added 27 points and 7 rebounds, while Alex Caruso contributed 20 off the bench in one of his best performances of the postseason.

Pacers Struggle in Final Minutes

The Pacers led 101-97 with under four minutes remaining but faltered down the stretch.

  • Pascal Siakam: 20 points

  • Tyrese Haliburton: 18 points

“We just didn’t execute at the end,” Siakam said. “We missed easy shots and they made theirs.”

The Pacers were outscored 31-17 in the final quarter and couldn’t contain OKC’s defensive pressure or Gilgeous-Alexander’s scoring burst.

Looking Ahead: Game 5

The series shifts to Oklahoma City for a pivotal Game 5:

  • 🏟️ Venue: Paycom Center

  • 🕢 Time: Monday, 19:30 local (Tuesday, 01:30 BST)

With the Finals now tied, both teams face immense pressure in what has become a best-of-three showdown.
