Howe: I’d Resign If I Wasn’t Right for Newcastle Job
Howe Defiant Amid Fan Frustration
Eddie Howe says he would resign immediately if he felt he was no longer the right person to lead Newcastle United.
The manager faced tough questions after a 3-2 home loss to Brentford, which saw boos ring out at St James’ Park and Newcastle slump to 12th in the Premier League.
“If I didn’t think I was the correct man to take the team forward, I’d step aside,” Howe told reporters.
“The club is bigger than me. I’d never put myself above it.”
