Leeds Agree £17m Deal for Germany Midfielder Anton Stach
Leeds United have agreed a £17m (€20m) deal with Hoffenheim for German midfielder Anton Stach.
The 25-year-old is expected to sign a four-year contract at Elland Road, with the deal subject to performance-related add-ons.
Once finalized, Stach will become Leeds’ sixth signing of the summer transfer window as the Whites prepare for their return to the Premier League under manager Daniel Farke.
Stach, capped by Germany, will bring an imposing 6ft 4in physical presence to Leeds’ midfield and is expected to partner recent arrival Sean Longstaff, whose £12m move from Newcastle United was confirmed on Friday.
Leeds have also strengthened their squad with defenders Sebastiaan Bornauw, Jaka Bijol and Gabriel Gudmundsson, as well as German forward Lukas Nmecha.
Farke will hope his new recruits can help make an instant impact in the top flight when Leeds begin their Premier League campaign at home to Everton on 18 August.
