The boxing world came together in a powerful tribute to Ricky Hatton, as thousands of fans and sporting icons filled the streets of Manchester to bid farewell to “The Hitman”.

The sporting world was left in shock when Hatton was found dead at his home
Hatton, who died at the age of 46 on 14 September at his home in Hyde, was laid to rest after a public outpouring of grief and admiration.
The funeral service, held at Manchester Cathedral, was marked by emotional tributes from family, fans, and legends of British sport.
His son Campbell Hatton, a boxer himself, moved mourners with a heartfelt tribute:
“I can’t explain how much I’m going to miss you, dad. But the memories we made I will cherish forever.”
Hatton’s mother, Carol, described him as:
“The People’s Champion… but he was our little champion from the day he was born.”
