Summer Transfer Window Reopens: Major Moves Expected

Summer Transfer Window Reopens – Who Could Be On the Move?

Just six days after closing, the summer transfer window has reopened, with Premier League, EFL, and Scottish Premiership clubs now free to buy and sell until 19:00 BST on Monday, 1 September.

Premier League clubs already spent £400m in the early window (1–10 June), and the total is likely to surpass last summer’s £1.96bn as the market heats up.

Why Two Transfer Windows?

FIFA allowed an early June window to give Club World Cup participants the chance to reinforce squads. But with FIFA’s 16-week annual transfer window limit, the market was paused briefly before resuming on 11 June.
