Saka & Saliba Want to Be Part of Arsenal’s Future, Says Arteta
Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Bukayo Saka and William Saliba are committed to Arsenal’s future, as the club continues contract talks with the two stars.
Both players, aged 24, are under contract until 2027, but discussions are underway to secure longer-term deals. Arteta made it clear that despite a busy transfer window, talks have not slowed—with sporting director Andrea Berta leading negotiations.
“The good thing is the players want to remain here and they want to be a big part of the history in this club over the next few years,” said Arteta.
Arsenal’s Long-Term Planning
Arsenal are pushing to lock down their core talents, following contract extensions for:
-
Gabriel Magalhães (until 2029)
-
Myles Lewis-Skelly
-
Ethan Nwaneri
Though Saliba has been linked to Real Madrid, he has dismissed such speculation. Meanwhile, Saka has publicly expressed his ambition to win silverware with Arsenal.

Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest – A Tactical Test
Saturday’s match at the Emirates will be Ange Postecoglou’s first as Nottingham Forest manager. While he’s still searching for his first win over Arteta, the Gunners boss expects a tactically challenging match.
