Tudor ‘100%’ Confident Spurs Will Stay Up
Igor Tudor says he is “100%” convinced Tottenham Hotspur will avoid relegation from the Premier League despite their alarming run of form.
Spurs currently sit 16th in the table, just five points above third-bottom West Ham United with 12 league matches remaining.
Tudor was appointed earlier this month following the dismissal of Thomas Frank after eight months in charge. The former Juventus defender and Croatia international arrives with experience from spells at Marseille, Lazio and Juventus.
Speaking at his first news conference, the 47-year-old made his ambitions clear.
“I’m not here to enjoy it, I’m here to work.
It’s a fantastic club. I am very focused to do the right things.”
Focus on Mentality and Unity

Tudor stressed that rebuilding team spirit and mentality will be his immediate priority rather than tactical systems.
“It is not about systems. It is important to become a team, a group, who will look after each other. For me this is basic.”
He believes Spurs have the physical tools and quality to climb away from danger.
“This is a team with quality, with legs that can run. There is potential.”
Premier League Struggles
Tottenham’s domestic form has collapsed in recent months. Since November, they have won just two of 17 league matches, drawing six and losing nine. Their last Premier League victory came on 28 December — a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.
Despite finishing fourth in the Champions League league phase and progressing to the last 16, their league campaign has left them looking nervously over their shoulders.
Spurs, who finished 17th last season, have not been relegated from the English top flight since 1977-78.
Injury Crisis Ahead of Arsenal Clash
Tudor’s task is complicated by a mounting injury list, with the new head coach revealing he had just 13 players available in training.
“It’s a very rare situation. We have 10 injuries… It is an even bigger challenge to succeed from this situation.”
His first match in charge comes against bitter north London rivals and league leaders Arsenal.
For Tudor, survival will depend on mindset.
“My first goal is that we become a team in the right meaning of the word, that suffers when it needs to suffer, to fight, to run, to have the right mentality.”
With 12 games left and pressure mounting, Tudor has made his belief clear — Tottenham will stay in the Premier League.
