Jokic Leads Nuggets to Third Seed Finish

Nikola Jokic delivered another commanding performance as the Denver Nuggets secured the third seed in the Western Conference with a 128-118 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on the final day of the regular NBA season.

Jokic Sets the Tone Early

The three-time MVP scored 23 points in just over 18 minutes, dominating the first half and ensuring Denver took full control of the contest in Texas. Jokic also contributed eight rebounds, reaching the 65-game threshold required for end-of-season award eligibility.

Support came from Julian Strawther, who led the team with 25 points, while Jonas Valanciunas recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Playoff Picture Confirmed

With the win, Denver locked in the third seed and will now host the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers secured fourth place after a convincing 131-107 win over the Utah Jazz.

Veteran star LeBron James impressed despite limited minutes, posting 18 points, six assists, and four rebounds in the first half.

The Lakers, who were without Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves due to injury, will face the Houston Rockets in the opening round.

Spurs Rest Stars Ahead of Playoffs

The Spurs, already assured of their postseason place, rested rising star Victor Wembanyama following his 40-point performance in the previous game.

De’Aaron Fox led San Antonio with 24 points, but it was not enough to prevent defeat.

Despite the loss, the Spurs will enter the playoffs as the second seed and await their opponent from the play-in tournament.

Western Conference Race Intensifies

Defending champions Oklahoma City Thunder remain the top seed in the West and will discover their first-round opponent after the play-in tournament concludes.

The final standings set the stage for a highly competitive postseason, with several contenders showing strong momentum heading into the playoffs.
